Fulfillment Assistant

    FULFILLMENT ASSISTANT

    JEM Organics is looking to hire a Fulfillment Assistant to join our growing company and work at our USDA Certified Organic production facility based in Bend, OR.   The Fulfillment Assistant will be responsible for packing and shipping JEM website and Amazon orders, as well as assisting with wholesale orders when needed. Orders will be shipped according to the JEM standard operating procedures.

    Duties include checking for incoming orders, reaching out to customers via email if needed, assembling boxes, identifying products to be shipped, carefully packaging products for shipment, and keeping detailed records of where products have been sent. You will also be responsible for packing and securing pallets for freight pick-up. Attention to detail and packing orders with care to minimize damage is essential. The position will also be responsible for delivering orders to selected local accounts. Training will be provided.

    Other information:

    • Starting Pay: TBD depending on experience
    • 25 – 40 hours per week; M-F 8AM -3PM (hours may vary)

    PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

    JEM Organics is looking to hire a Production Technician to join our growing company and work at our USDA Certified Organic production facility based in Bend, OR.   You will be trained and participate in the key steps around the production of JEM’s ridiculously delicious products.  In addition to production duties around dehydrating, stonegrinding and depositing, the position also involves general record keeping and facility sanitization throughout each process. The responsibilities will include following detailed operating procedures at each process to ensure JEM’s nut butter is always produced to the highest standards. 

    Other information:

    • 25 – 40 hours per week; M-F 8AM -3PM (hours may vary)

    SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING INTERN

    JEM Organics is looking for an outgoing, hard-working team player who is ready to live and breathe the JEM ethos. The Social Media & Marketing Intern will report to and work with the Digital Marketing Coordinator on social media, influencers, photography, recipes and general marketing support. This position is responsible for assisting the coordinator in executing clearly defined marketing strategies, organizing and posting organic and paid content on all social channels. Must be experienced in all main social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest) and sufficient in LinkedIn. Great written communication skills, Adobe Creative and copywriting skills are preferred as the Social Media & Marketing Intern will be asked to create content and write for marketing support. A passion and keen interest in healthy, natural organic foods and a healthy lifestyle is also important. We’d love to hear what other skills you possess!

    Responsibilities:

    Social Media
    • Assist with social calendar and content creation
    • Calendar scheduling/posting
    • Community management and engagement
    • Assist with collaborations
    • Gathering analytics for all channels
    • Create TikTok/Reels
    Influencers
    • Research influencers/brands to collaborate with
    Sales and Digital Marketing Support
    • Assist the Coordinator with photography/videography
    • Merchandise / swag design / procurement
    • In-house design / creative support for sales and marketing materials
    • Development of creative assets around branding in connection with events, in-store demos and farmers markets
    • Organize and maintain image assets
    Blogs
    • Assist with collecting recipe blogs
    Market & Demos
    • Optional chance to work at farmers markets, events and store demos on a paid hourly basis.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred experience and/or educational focus in digital marketing / marketing and advertising
    • Strong oral and written communication, sales, and presentation skills.
    • Goal oriented, self-starter, team player, flexible and creative under pressure - often while juggling several projects at once.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) preferred
    • Copywriting skills
    Other:

    This position is based at JEM’s Bend, OR headquarters, which is also where we produce all of our amazing nut butters. It’s preferred that the candidate live in Central Oregon during the internship or plan to move there within reasonable time after hire. We are open to remote candidates if the skill set fits.

    JEM is a rapidly growing business, so we are always looking for talented people. This position could grow into a more permanent paid role in the future for someone who has flexibility, transferable skills and can maybe fill other company needs. We will make sure that the intern is exposed to the overall operations of JEM’s business so that they can conclude their internship with a good understanding of what it takes to run a small, rapidly growing certified organic food production business. We can offer lots of opportunities for the right person!

    Position is designed to begin in June and will ideally last 12 weeks, but the timeline can be negotiated.

    Job Type: Part-Time

    Pay: This internship is unpaid, however additional paid hours are available for assistance at local farmers markets and other events. Available for college credit (if applicable). Potential for a permanent paid position depending upon fit, experience and company needs.

    Targeted weekly hours: 15 hours/week average; additional paid hours if able to assist at markets and events
