FULFILLMENT ASSISTANT

JEM Organics is looking to hire a Fulfillment Assistant to join our growing company and work at our USDA Certified Organic production facility based in Bend, OR.   The Fulfillment Assistant will be responsible for packing and shipping JEM website and Amazon orders, as well as assisting with wholesale orders when needed. Orders will be shipped according to the JEM standard operating procedures.

Duties include checking for incoming orders, reaching out to customers via email if needed, assembling boxes, identifying products to be shipped, carefully packaging products for shipment, and keeping detailed records of where products have been sent. You will also be responsible for packing and securing pallets for freight pick-up. Attention to detail and packing orders with care to minimize damage is essential. The position will also be responsible for delivering orders to selected local accounts. Training will be provided.

Other information:

  • Starting Pay: TBD depending on experience
  • 25 – 40 hours per week; M-F 8AM -3PM (hours may vary)

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

JEM Organics is looking to hire a Production Technician to join our growing company and work at our USDA Certified Organic production facility based in Bend, OR.   You will be trained and participate in the key steps around the production of JEM’s ridiculously delicious products.  In addition to production duties around dehydrating, stonegrinding and depositing, the position also involves general record keeping and facility sanitization throughout each process. The responsibilities will include following detailed operating procedures at each process to ensure JEM’s nut butter is always produced to the highest standards.

SUMMER EVENT AND SALES ASSOCIATE

We can structure the position to the right candidate’s specific skills and availability, but it will definitely encompass the following duties:

  • Farmers Market Event Manager: Manage JEM’s presence at Bend’s NW Crossing Farmers’ Market beginning in June and continuing during the Summer of 2022. Time commitment: APPROXIMATEY 8-10 HOURS PER WEEK INCLUDING TIME AT MARKET. Duties Include:
    • Interact with Market attendees offering samples and info about JEM.
    • Staff JEM booth weekly and sell JEM products and merchandise at the Market.
    • Preparation and returning of inventory, samples, booth materials, etc.
    • Premarket setup, staffing (10am – 2pm) and post market breakdown each Saturday
    • Reconciliation of inventory sold following each market event, accurately count and safeguard cash receipts/cash box, return and check-in unsold inventory and preparation of sales information for inputting into Company systems
  • Other Trade Show, Event and Demo Activities: This position has historically also been responsible for planning, organizing and staffing JEM’s participation in regional and out of area festivals, events, industry and distributor trade shows and other activities. Time Commitment: TBD depending upon skills and availability

The position could also include the following TBD based on candidate and interests/aptitude:

  • Central Oregon Sales and Account Management: You would assist in managing JEM’s local customer and prospect relationships in Central Oregon, including regular communication with buyers at each account and delivery, fulfillment of orders. Work with individual retailers as needed to maintain prominent and most attractive positioning for JEM products in store displays and implement in-store promotions, demos and other events. Coordinate and communicate with your JEM colleagues around ordering needs, deliveries and store visits
  • Inside Sales, Social Media, Marketing, Digital Design and Other Activities: JEM is a small and rapidly growing company, so as a result, we work in a dynamic environment and many of us wear multiple hats from time to time. Depending upon the individual and your interests, experience and aptitude, this position can also include time spent in a variety of other sales and marketing activities, including inside sales, fulfillment assistance and social media/digital marketing.
