DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR

POSITION DESCRIPTION

JEM Organics is looking for an outgoing, hard-working team player who is ready to live and breath the JEM ethos. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will report to and work with the Digital Marketing Manager on social media, influencers, sales, blogs and general marketing support. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing clearly defined marketing strategies, organizing and posting organic and paid content on all social channels. Must be experienced in all main social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest) and sufficient in LinkedIn. Excellent written communication skills are a must and Adobe Creative and copywriting skills are preferred as the Digital Marketing Coordinator will be asked to create content and write for marketing and sales support. A passion and keen interest in healthy, natural organic foods and a healthy lifestyle is also important. We’d love to hear what other skills you possess!

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media
    • Calendar creation
    • Calendar scheduling/posting
    • Community management and engagement
    • Coordinating all collaborations and communication
    • Analytics of all channels
  • Influencers
    • Coordinate recipe collection
    • Communicate with influencers
    • Ongoing social media engagement with influencers and development of additional relationships beneficial to JEM
  • Sales and Digital Marketing Support
    • Website content execution
    • Merchandise / swag design / procurement
    • In-house design / creative support for sales and marketing materials
    • Development of creative assets around branding in connection with events, in-store demos and farmers markets
    • Organize and maintain image assets
  • Blogs
    • Write and post periodic blogs for the website and newsletters
  • Weekly Reporting / Measurement of
    • Social (organic and paid)
    • Email marketing / newsletters 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in marketing, business administration or relevant field preferred; can substitute with relevant experience
  • Preferred experience in digital marketing / marketing and advertising with consumer or food brands
  • Strong oral and written communication, sales, and presentation skills.
  • Goal oriented, self-starter, team player, flexible and creative under pressure - often while juggling several projects at once.
  • Knowledge of current marketing trends and multimedia platforms
  • Must have had extensive experience in social media
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) strongly preferred
  • Must be adept at all traditional advertising and digital channels, with enthusiasm to keep JEM relevant in the space
  • Copywriting skills

Other:

  • Position is based at JEM’s Bend, OR headquarters, so preferred candidate must either live currently in Central Oregon or plan to move there within reasonable time after hire.
  • Position will be hourly with starting pay TBD based on scope of position and experience/education.
  • Position can be full or part time based on alignment of candidate’s qualifications with breadth of Digital Marketing Coordinator position.

    FULFILLMENT ASSISTANT

    JEM Organics is looking to hire a Fulfillment Assistant to join our growing company and work at our USDA Certified Organic production facility based in Bend, OR.   The Fulfillment Assistant will be responsible for packing and shipping JEM website and Amazon orders, as well as assisting with wholesale orders when needed. Orders will be shipped according to the JEM standard operating procedures.

    Duties include checking for incoming orders, reaching out to customers via email if needed, assembling boxes, identifying products to be shipped, carefully packaging products for shipment, and keeping detailed records of where products have been sent. You will also be responsible for packing and securing pallets for freight pick-up. Attention to detail and packing orders with care to minimize damage is essential. The position will also be responsible for delivering orders to selected local accounts. Training will be provided.

    Other information:

    • Starting Pay:
      • Hourly pay rate w/o relevant experience: $12.00 while training for 30 days; increase to $12.50/hr + after satisfactory completion of training period;
      • Hourly pay rate with relevant experience: $13.50/hr + to start  DOE
    • 25 – 40 hours per week; M-F 8AM -3PM (hours may vary)
    • Paid time off and discounts on purchases of JEM products
    • Physical requirements – ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Experience with packing and fulfilling web orders preferred, but not required.
    • Experience with Quickbooks, Shopify and Shipping Manager/Shipstation is a big plus! We will provide training for the right individual.

    PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

    JEM Organics is looking to hire a Production Technician to join our growing company and work at our USDA Certified Organic production facility based in Bend, OR.   You will be trained and participate in the key steps around the production of JEM’s ridiculously delicious products.  In addition to production duties around dehydrating, stonegrinding and depositing, the position also involves general record keeping and facility sanitization throughout each process. The responsibilities will include following detailed operating procedures at each process to ensure JEM’s nut butter is always produced to the highest standards. 

    Other information:

    • Starting Pay: $12.00 while training for 30 days; increase to $12.50/hr + after satisfactory completion of training period;
    • 25 – 40 hours per week; M-F 8AM -3PM (hours may vary)
    • Paid time off and discounts on purchases of JEM products
    • Physical requirements – ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Food manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required. We will provide training.
